Willow Creek Helps Build Seven More Houses
In spite of intense heat and heavy rain, spirits remained high among the volunteers who came together to blitz build 7 homes in 5 days in Waveland, Mississippi. The nearly 200 volunteers hail from Illinois, Texas, New Jersey, Florida and even Northern Ireland. For Willow Creek Community Church, it’s their third blitz build in Hancock County, bringing the total number of homes built to 21.
“This is an incredibly stretching experience, and I plan to keep doing this in the future,” says volunteer Greg Fountain.
“You’re working with amazing people who give up their vacation time, and they come and give everything . . . I’ve never felt so much like I was in the right place before,” exclaimed volunteer Cindy Neubauer.
