Hancock County Receives Minor Damage

After surveying all its families, Bay-Waveland Area Habitat for Humanity is pleased to report that none of our families received any major damage during hurricanes Gustav and Ike. While Habitat families escaped relatively unscathed, others were not so lucky. Approximately than 220 families living in Mississippi Cottages received significant flood damage and must vacate their homes. The flooding was the result of heavy rains and a storm surge of 11 feet in Waveland.
