615 Keller Street - Construction Features

Bluwood framing members from floor system to top plate

Resists moisture and serves as an insecticide

Limited site disturbance

We preserved a number of trees on this jobsite, limiting our disturbance of the lot

Low Emission Products

All interior paints used have a VOC content of < 50 g/l

Floor decking and cabinet plywood are low emission, no urea- formaldehyde products, improving the indoor air quality for the life of the home.

Bamboo Floors

Bamboo is a rapidly renewable resource & makes a beautiful floor

Open Cell Foam Insulation

Walls, floor and rafters in roof are insulated with 6 inches of open cell foam. This offers great insulation while sealing all air infiltration points between the outside and inside of the house. It keeps cold-air-conditioned-air inside the house in the summer, while keeping warm moist air out.

Advanced Framing Techniques

Floor, walls and trusses are spaced 24 inches on center, allowing for less wood in the walls and more room for insulation.

Headers are sized appropriately for loads, using less lumber and providing more insulation.

Pervious landscape

100% of the site (not including the area under roof) is pervious, allowing water to soak into the ground immediately

Heat Pump Water Heater

We are using the most efficient electric water heater to date, usiing heat pump technology.
